In addition, this program aims at offering short online courses for Japanese students in English to teach them different aspects of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, such as history, government, culture, geography, society, economy, environment, among others.

The program also seeks to develop interaction with students of LAC and encourage Japanese students to travel to the countries of the region to enrich their life experience.

The Association will serve as coordinator between universities of Japan and LAC, identifying and selecting those universities with the adequate infrastructure to operate in an international environment with various time zones.

In this connection, the Association will recommend universities from LAC that count on the following requirements:

  1. A safe and reliable technological platform to carry out online courses without interruption.
  2. Bilingual professors qualified to dictate English courses.
  3. An international office with qualified bilingual personnel and able to manage and follow up international communications.
  4. A good compliance record of academic schedules, especially when the teaching-learning process will happen in time zones with 12 to 15 hours of difference, requiring a high degree of punctuality and synchronization.
