Signing of a Commercial Cooperation Agreement for the Promotion of Tourism between Latin America and the Caribbean, Japan, and Asia

Dr. Ritter Diaz, Representative Director of the Japan Association for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (JAPOLAC), Dr. Ritter Díaz, signed a Commercial Cooperation Agreement with a Japanese tourism company, with the aim of promoting tourist flows from Latin America and the Caribbean to Japan and other destinations in Asia.

The Japanese company, which currently serves tourists from Asia and Europe, expressed its interest in expanding its operations into the Latin American and Caribbean market, approaching JAPOLAC to explore opportunities for collaboration in developing inbound tourism from the region to Japan.

Under this agreement, JAPOLAC has committed to identifying, evaluating, and recommending travel agencies in Latin America and the Caribbean that have the interest and capacity to work with the Japanese market. In addition, the Association will promote a proper understanding of the standards, practices, and expectations of tourism in Japan and Asia, thereby contributing to a more efficient and sustainable integration of regional operators into these markets.

This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening tourism ties between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean, and reflects JAPOLAC’s commitment to facilitating initiatives that promote economic, cultural, and human exchange between both regions.
