JAPOLAC Participates in FOODEX JAPAN 2026
Dr. Ritter Díaz, Representative Director of JAPOLAC, attended FOODEX JAPAN 2026 to meet with representatives from Latin American and Caribbean companies interested in introducing their products to the Japanese market.
During the event, Dr. Díaz visited the exhibition stand of Costa Rica and exchanged views with representatives of the Trade Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (PROCOMER), as well as with participating companies. He also visited the exhibition booths of Peru and Ecuador to explore the diverse range of products offered by these countries.
One of JAPOLAC’s primary objectives is to facilitate trade between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean, with a particular focus on promoting small and medium-sized enterprises. In this regard, JAPOLAC identifies, analyzes, and recommends products from the region that are well-suited to the Japanese market.
In this context, JAPOLAC recently signed commercial cooperation agreements with two companies from Ecuador to promote chocolate, plantain-based products, and superfood snacks in the Japanese market.
Dr. Díaz was accompanied by Mr. Fredy Armijos, Director of JAPOLAC responsible for business promotion.
FOODEX JAPAN, the country’s largest food and beverage exhibition, was held from March 10 to 13, 2026.
