Celebration of the 182nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Dominican Republic in Tokyo
The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Japan hosted a reception in Tokyo to commemorate the 182nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Dominican Republic, bringing together distinguished guests from the diplomatic, governmental, business community, and members of the Dominican community residing in Japan.
During the ceremony, H.E. Edward Perez Reyes, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Japan delivered commemorative remarks highlighting the historical significance of Dominican independence and reaffirming the strong and growing bilateral relations between the Dominican Republic and Japan. The Ambassador underscored the importance of continued cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure development, and cultural exchange.
Representatives of the Government of Japan conveyed their congratulations on this important national occasion and emphasized the longstanding friendship between both nations, as well as their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in multiple sectors.
Dr. Ritter Díaz, Representative Director of the Japan Association for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (JAPOLAC), attended the event and extended his warmest congratulations to the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic. Dr. Díaz reaffirmed JAPOLAC’s continued commitment to supporting the activities of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Japan.
